Single crystalline LSMO molecular sieve nanowires with high temperature ferromagnetism.
Anisotropic nanocrystals with large aspect ratio stimulate widespread interests and research activities in both academies and industries. These nanostructures are ideal systems to study dimensionality dependence on optical, electrical, magnetic and mechanical properties, and they are expected to play important roles for the fabrication of nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices (lasers, photodetectors, chemical and biological sensors, energy conversion devices for photovoltaic and thermoelectric, ...).
Today, controlled and reliable nanoporous polymer templates supported on top of single crystalline substrates are produced from it4ip knowhow; combined with a solution chemistry methodology, these track-etched templates are suitable for the low cost synthesis of nanostructured system finely shape and size controlled through growth parameters (temperature and time) and template properties.
Because of the confined nucleation in high aspect ratio nanopores and of the high temperatures attained, new structures with novel properties are obtained; MnO2 and LaSr-doped single crystalline nanowires with potential use as molecular sieve and exhibiting ferromagnetic ordering with strongly enhance Curie temperature have been synthesized; this method can be now extended to other complex functional oxides to investigate new crystallographic phases and the modification of their physical properties.

Novel Technology to Provide an Enriched Therapeutic Cell Concentrate from Bone Marrow Aspirate
