  it4ip s.a. receives biotechnology award in Tokyo

it4ip s.a. took part in the nanotech 2008 exhibition in Tokyo within the booth of the Walloon Region (AWEX-Belgium).  With Boston exhibition, nano tech Tokyo is the most important event of nanotechnology with more than 550 exhibitors and 50 000 worldwide visitors.
it4ip s.a., start-up from the 'Université catholique de Louvain' in Belgium, develops, manufactures and commercialises precision membranes based on track etching technology; it has been created in early 2006 and is underpinned by a group of foundators coming from the industry and the university. it4ip s.a is actually located within Activalis building in Seneffe, Belgium.
Applications of these membranes are widely diversified such as in healthcare (cancer diagnostic, cell culture media, ...), energy (fuel cells), nano- and microfiltration, and in food-pharmaceutical-cosmetic industries for bacteria detection.
it4ip has been selected by the organizers for its excellence, its innovating applications with high potential business, and received one of the seven awards distributed during the exhibition. Toshiba, FEI and Bayer share other awards.
